That is so totally cool, folcan! I have 2 of the exact smae coin -- the 2002 nickel with that "C" -- I wonder how many there are out there? Yours is the only other one I've ever seen!

I guess then these must be rare. Wonder if there is any news about these coins. I've seen shadows before but never this clear.

Well, here is another one that I have found on a 2001 Nickel. Wonder if they should actually be posted as an error.

I think the Arnprior dollars were the last dies re-engraved by hand, and then reused for production. An arguement could be made that the 1977 nickel dollars were also re-engraved, but if so, that information was not put into mint reports. That fact that you find this feature, on the obverse of two different years, means that they used the same obverse die for both years. Is the feature raised or sunk?

Cant actually tell but I'm sure that wert will determin that with his software I hope lol. It seems to be consistant. There are 4 so far that we know of. I'm hoping that others will report here if they find any.
