As of today, my self imposed 30 day period of abstinence is over (although I had one day of relapse when I purchased the two Colonia Patricia Augustus coins). I now have my eye on some coins, but as of yet I haven't gone off the wagon. I'll let you know when I do.

Regards to all,

What with you and stevex6 this is starting to sound like a support group.

I too believe I'm "30 days clean - one day at a time"

My total spent on coins this past few weeks was around $8.50 plus shipping for a total of 4 coins the largest is a Elagabalus AE28 of Nikopolis ad Istrum. Laureate, draped bust right / Nimbate serpent in elaborate coils.Moushmov 1408- all look like they will clean up nicely.

Same here. Am trying to hold off buying until next month but had a momentary relapse with my purchase of Julia Domna.

I had to slow way down as well. This month I spent $45 for coins. I might only be able to spend about $20 next month. I've spent a lot of money since starting. Total amount comes up to $650 since November of last year.

seems obvious to me that perhaps we all suffer the same disease.
but as you can stand in front of a beautiful ancient coin? maybe just what you're missing and wanted for years?
I've often heard, but whata bad coin, they're all black and I can't see anything on it ..... but these coins, arouse emotions amazing to me..... maybe we are all mad?:-))))))))))))))))

I know the feeling--I cannot afford any new coins right now.
Any nice coin is smarter money than on Facebook--and it's much more interesting.

Wow! I don't feel so bad. Only spent $200 on ancients in the last 30 days. Thought I lost it! Feel much better reading this thread.
