Metalman Pillar of the Community United States 7123 Posts	Posted 02/24/2007 8:16 pm Hi Jim The retained struck through is on the N in the word Centavos,, it is essentially a piece of coin metal scrap or flake perhaps even from where this coin has de laminated and then struck into or onto the coin,, the term retained means that it stayed there after being struck.
