Very nice coin, There were some interesting coins issued by this emperor and I have started developing an interest in his coins.

A nice example of the type. This coin was produced in Rome and the output from this period can vary quite a lot. These are often seen on small, tight flans. This coin gives you almost all the legends, a pleasing portrait on the obverse and a dynamic Victory on the reverse. Well bought.
Regards,
Martin

I'd call it an above average example of an ordinary Rome mint coin of the middle period. If you are to have just one Septimius, I'd select another but if you want a series of available coins, this is a decent IMP X Rome mint coin. I have many worse coins of Septimius.

I agree echizento
This will be a good start for my collection of Septimius Severus again. Thanks, maybe a good Avatar, but I think someone already has one.

There are many worse ways to spend $20 in my opinion!

I'd say its pretty good value really, made of silver, old and with a clearly defined portrait.. deserves a bannana at least.
