Hi Thingee

This one came out of a gallon pickle jar full of lincolns ,, I buy them from many of the folks around the area here for face value ,,kinda like buying piggy banks everyone has one !!

I count them and pay the person face value then I sit here and go through them .

This coin likely has little value it is only in about VG to F condition with some green starting on it .and a large date at that .

It will go into the collection !! once I have neutralized the nasty green stuff !!

That's a prett cool way of getting change Metalman. And what do you do to neutralize the green stuff? I didn't know that could be done.

I think the green stuff is from the pickle juice. That may have caused the lamination error also.

There was 61.54 in the pickle jar this is the only lamination error so far ,, I have about 10.00 worth of cents still to look through,, the Green stuff is degritis it is common to copper coins.

******************************************************************************************************************

Thingee I have to keep the process that I used to myself for the time being ,, it is still a work in progress.

Was it a dip in acetone?

Sorry about that Metal man. I didn't notice the paragraph below your last post that it is a work in progress and that it will be kept under wraps for a while. My apologies.

Hi Thingee I can tell you that was not acetone.

But as you can see the process has promise .

Nice lamination, I have a few teen dates, but not as dramatic.
