Help With A Prince William And Kate Coin Value.

bakaguy93 New Member United Kingdom 5 Posts	Posted 05/08/2013 12:05 pm Hello I have a William and Kate engagement coin and can't find a value on it. I have searched all over the internet and only found descriptions of the coin, but I did find one one ebay for 3000 (which I found absurd). So I'm wondering if any of you kind people can help me out. Unfortunately I can't upload images due to internet connection but I will describe it. On the front is has William and Kate (colored photo), it sais HRH PRINCE WILLIAM OF WALES - CATHERINE ELIZABETH MIDDLETON around the front of the coin. On the back it has a picture of Queen Elizabeth II and sais 2010 ELIZABETH II - 1 DOLLAR - COOK ISLANDS. Sorry for the amount of writing but I need help so thank you in advance. The problem is the royal wedding was over 2 years ago, and the engagement was back in 2010! Anyone who wanted a coin to commemorate the event probably has one by now. Most gold plating only adds less than a dollars worth of gold to the coin. Really valuable only to die hard royal watchers. Maybe if you put it together with Elizabeth and Philip; Charles and Diana; Anne and Mark ; Andrew and Sarah wedding coins, the set might be worth more than the individual coins.
