i got this coin in a roll of pennies I got from a mexican food restaurant.the rest were zinc / copper cents and even 1 wheat (common date).

someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that the coin is essentially a zincoln with a different design. The panamanian balboa is pegged to the us dollar 1:1 so they used the same compositions for their coins, but with different designs. So its worth exactly $0.01, but I would still keep it, nice find.

Very nice find! I came across a 1975 Panama un centesimo few weeks ago while going through some bank wrapped Lincolns. A nice change of pace. I believe the Panama un centesimo is bronze through 1987.
