Need Help With My 2006 1/2 Oz Timberwolf Gold Motifs!

I know there were a total of 106,800 1/2 oz timber wolf silver 1 dollars issued but I cannot find any information about the gold highlights. This has me worried that the coin was retouched after market. I have 2 of these. I know they are genuine because they have been weighed and electro tested. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The selective gold plating was NOT done at the RCM, it was done by another company after they purchased a quantity of the coins. Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. chubbycheeks Valued Member Canada 480 Posts	Posted 08/10/2013 12:46 am I really don't think anyone can tell you how many of these coins are out there. Almost anyone with a gold plating device can do it. You just have to have careful hands or a lot of practice. But at the end of the day if he really likes the coin and the look, the after market touch up shouldn't matter that much to him. Report this Post to the Staff
