Ummmmm, yeah. They are definitely valuable. The Kirtland $10 is worth about $3000. That Kirtland $3 is worth $5000 or more. The Monroe $2 is worth about $100 and I have no idea about $3.

I see that the Utah note is worth a bunch too. A 35 PPQ sold for $8,900. I'd assume that this is worth at least $5,000 based on that. The Nauvoo Legion is worth at least $20,000. A 25 Net graded note went for $18,400. Are these notes yours? Besides the Monroe notes, they are all worth a ton of money. It is an excellent collection. Thanks for sharing.

If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for them? I can't comment on value but I can say this...
that's an impressive collection there.

What is the "Rust" designation for on these holders?

A quick google search suggests that the Rust designation is a reference to the book "Mormon and Utah Coin and Currency" by Alvin Rust. I think it's a reference similar to seeing Krause XXXX on things.

I honestly didn't know Deseret was a state long enough to make it's own currency, that must be a rare note!

Csotus, Deseret was a territory long before it became the state of Utah (was created something like 1847-48). Utah became a state in 1896.

Very cool to see this old Mormon currency!
