Indeed a caduceus...perhaps listed as a serpent entwined X. Could be something else though, hard to tell. My moneys on Caduceus.

I reckon its worth at least 100USD, if not a bit more with some expert cleaning. Last one went for 260USD Lanz sale! I'll buy it for a tenner.

I'm looking at a picture of the coin listed in Sear as 5422, but the reverse of your coin does match his reference.
