Help Identify State Quarters - Gold Color

Madmartigan Valued Member United States 264 Posts	Posted 07/23/2007 5:41 pm Stopped by my local bank that I get all my rolls from to make a deposit. As soon as I walked in the teller said "hey, I got something for you". She pulls out 4 2005 State Quarters. They are West Virginia, California, Minnesota, and Kansas. All four of the quarters are gold / brass type color. Any idea what set or where these coins would of come out of? I figure they are after-mint modifications. Sort of like the coloring of some coins. One of the coins along the neck some of the silver is showing, or looks to be showing. Anyone know of a good test to verify if it is gold and not a metal mix sort of like the $1 coins? My kids thought they were cool looking. Put them in 2x2s and added them to my collection since they didn't cost me anything but face value.
