The top picture is actually based on the Japanese Meiji-era coinage - I can't read most of the characters but "Dai Ni Hon" - Great Japan - is clearly readable at 6 to 8 o'clock. The other side is definitely Chinese-Republic-derived in design, with the five-striped Nationalist flag and the nine-pointed-star war flag. Needless to say, there aren't going to be any official coins or medals with a Japanese coin design on one side and a Chinese one on the other. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
