This would be an amazing design for quarters or halves! It's really a pity the best designs are reserved for bullion coins.

I personally think there's a tad too much symbolism there...

The design is not practical for circulating coinage.

Not practical for circulation, but I do absolutely love it. There's a stateliness and grace to the design which has been lacking for seventy or more years in much of our coin design.

It definitely follows the "include everything" school of design, but I think it could be further improved with "E PLURIBUS UNUM", a bald eagle, the year of mintage written out textually, and every single past president.

I think it is a pretty nice design and beats the socks off of having a politician on it!

Agreed... beautiful design, eagle on the reverse would make it perfect. I'm all for bringing back Lady Liberty on our coinage. Enough with the presidents. Just my opinion...

The design reminds me of that old Conan O'Brian skit "In the year 2000"

As if this was the coin of the future... Seriously though, it's a very futuristic styalization of liberty. Not my cup of tea though unless I get a medalic alignment one

I like it and I think it would make for a good circulation design. We need to return to Liberty.

I like the concept but the artwork is poor IMHO. Remove the flag from the front and make it the main design on the reverse.

By law the reverse must include the eagle

I must add to my above post an answer to your topic. For me I personally do like the design but I'm having a tuff time imagining it on a circulating coin smaller than a half unless we start a new 50c piece for circulation with this design

I actually like the flag where it is.

Regardless, it is good to see the flag on a coin.

Now, put the flag and an eagle on the reverse.

Brilliant! What a fresh face on Liberty. Vastly different than the victorian-esk images that were popular on earlier coinage. I really like it.

compared to what? Liberty walking draped in the flag?

I agree with bringing back lady liberty on our coinage, however, not sure I like that design too much.
