smartie New Member Greece 2 Posts	Posted 01/12/2008 5:51 pm I have those 2 coins but since I have no idea from coins I want to ask anyone who knows their value before I offer them on e-bay. here are their pics I think they are in very good condition except 1909 has a small scratch under the head. Sap Moderator Australia 16895 Posts	Posted 01/13/2008 12:26 am You might want to double-check if there's a mintmark on the 1909 one; I can't see any there, but the pic's too low-res to be sure. A mintmark (P, S or M) would appear just above the date, on the "ground-line" the horse and dragon are standing on. These Australian-minted coins are worth a bit more than London sovs. In any event, they're probably not worth too much above bullion value (currently US$210). Start at BV plus a few percent (215 to 220), and you can't go too far wrong. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
