Two new pickups for my Registry set.

The toning reminds me of the beautiful Texas sunsets I currently get to enjoy throughout the fall, with golds and some pastel colors mixed in.

The 1952-S is full-on toned, both sides; the 1954-S more so on the obverse, but only the slightest touch of red on the reverse.

As an added bonus, the 1952-S also has a die crack running from the eagle's left wing tip through the last S in STATES.

How would you grade these two quarters vs. PCGS?

Wow, the reverse on that '52-S is stunning. I'm gonna guess MS66 on both.

Only two guesses?

Must be harder than I thought.

Posting anyway,

1952-S PCGS MS67 / CAC Green Bean

1954-S PCGS MS65 / CAC Green Bean

1952-S-And-1954-S-Washington-Quarters,-Toned,-You-Vs.-PCGS

That coin is a late die state with extremely heavy reverse die polishing.

Thanks for looking, AB

Late to this party too. I was at 66 for both, so my average was correct :-)

I love toned Washingtons! But frosty and blast white are okay, too.

I usually wait 2 days, but I forgot when I posted the grade it had only been like a day or a half day or whatever. Overworked and overstressed, and not paying attention.

I love the obverse toning happening on the 54. I would hope it continues to tone a bit even in the holder.
