What is the difference between a S-penny, D-penny, and a normal penny? I never got what was up with that?

WELCOME TO THE FORUM.
By normal I would assume you think coins minted in Phily are normal. Possibly true but people in Denver and SanFrancisco would argue about that.
I've heard that the people at the Phildelphia Mint have always been assamed of their products so they don't put a letter on the coins so no one will know where they really came from.
All just kidding you know. Look into it though since in the past there was also an O and CC mint mark.
Oh by the way watch out for the very serious coin people that keep saying WE DON'T HAVE PENNIES, WE HAVE CENTS.
Just call them whatever you want. No one ever heard of a song called "Cents from Heaven" you know.
