I have an T.H. Etsrabooks Red Rose tea cheque with a 2 cent revenue stamp.

I seen/saw one that sold on ebay with a 3 cent revenue stamp.

That gave me an idea. I could probably track some of these cheques down locally with the different denomination stamps.

Has anyone else tried doing this before? Was it a fun and cheap set to put together? I could imagine cross collectors like Coca-Cola guys or stamps people doing it for example.

If you have done it before or can point out cheques for sale and/or reference material on revenue stamps it will be much appreciated.

This, to the best of my knowledge, is the resource for revenue stamps in Canada. I've been told to take the prices, especially for ones listed as being scarcer, with a big grain of salt.

My computer is acting funky, I haven't been able to open that site. I found it on Google. DOes it work for you ok?

My grandparents spent New years down here and wile I was rolling tabaco for my Grandad he told me growing up Cape Breton had their own revenue stamps separate from Nova Scotia. I will have to keep my eys open for a CB cheque.

That site opens for me okay and he has a ton of revenue stamps ... I don't know about CB though ... I didn't know about CB (grew up part of my childhood in Port Hawkesbury) stamps, but I'm not into stamps too much.

I see some CB law stamps:

Oddly enough the first link you posted just comes up as a blank page but once I go to Cape Breton Law stamps I can than click to go to his home page and navigate into that link you gave me just fine.

I am not a stamp guy per see but they seem cheap so I may pick up some Atlantic Canadian and Saint Pierre et Miquelon stamps while looking for for tokens.
