As he has been passed away for quite a few years we have no idea where this came from or history attached. Nigel Radestock New Member United Kingdom 2 Posts	Posted 02/27/2008 11:56 am Just found a post by Dark Sider about a very similar looking coin! #5 looks like a CHINA / Republic - General Issue Dollar (Yuan) Yr. 3 (1914) Y#329. There are several different varieties depending on the edge. Although the date is year 3 or 1914 these Yuan Shi-Kai Dollars were struck continuously through 1929 and wee also restruck by the Chinese Soviets. Later again in the 50's the coin was struck for use in Tibet. These large Chinese yuan are also popular with counterfeiters Report this Post to the Staff
