Was thinking about bidding on it if the price is right. Does it look real? I did a bunch of comparisons to sold Heritage auctions, and it seems to match. Thanks, Ed

Yeah, good buy for someone...you? Vlack 18-87C looks right. Prolific reverse also used on 19-87C, 20-87C,21-87C, 23-87C and the Vermont RR-13 Mule.

Nice coin. You should be less concerned with whether or not these pieces are "real" and more concerned with them being mis-attributed as Machin's Mills pieces. Often they are just common British halfpennies (regal and non-regal). Very similar appearance, big difference in price and desirability.

Actually, that's what I meant, figured Machin's Mills collectors would know that too, but your right, could have asked the question better.
