I saw a picture of this coin & wanted to post it. I didn't know Puerto Rico had minted their own coins.

Yes, when Puerto Rico was a Spanish colony, they are beautiful coins with the portrait of the boy king Alfonso XIII. Such coins are very expensive, I like Un Peso 1895. Beware of fakes.

They didn't! The coin shown, and the others of the 1895-96 issue, were struck by Spain in Madrid for use in Puerto Rico (a colony of Spain at the time).

Beautiful coin. I have a 10 centavos and I adore that coin. It's a shiny silver. I ve bought it from sunday market in Plaza de Espaņa / Madrid
