Question About Ikes

I took a look thru my dad's jar of Ike dollars yesterday while me and my daughters were visiting. He had a 1972 with no mint mark that had White reeds.

All the information I can gather is that Ike's were Copper-nickel, except for S mint marks release by the mint. I would have sworn that this Ike was silver. Was there any 40% silver clad Ike's released in 1972 from the Philadelphia mint?

No P mint were 40% silver only S mints in 1972.

Thats what I thought also, just wondering why the edge had no sign of red at all. Maybe just had more nickel than copper I guess.

without pictures its hard to say ,,it could be that the coin was plated ?

can you get an accurate weight ?
