Hello and welcome to the Forum!

I think your 20p has suffered environmental damage. It has probably been buried in the ground for a while. I've found several similar-looking 20p coins with my metal detector: cupro-nickel coins tend to go this colour.

Sometimes 20ps end up with a coppery colour, it's not that abnormal, it's just something goes a little wrong in the production.
