When I started with ebay and Payuppal I set a cap for how much I was willing to lose. Well, with my last rip-off I went over the top.

I am winding up my dealings on both sites and then they are history.

No, I am not interested in wasting my time pursuing thieves.

I plan to watch for items here and at venues suchas Collectors Universe.

What other alternatives are there? Uhm, that you would recommend?
Rest in Peace

There are a number of online dealers. If you do a bit of searching on the forum, you can find a fair number of threads discussing ones that members recommend. Recommended ones are honest and will have a reasonable return policy, so you can't get ripped off too bad; just make sure you are dealing with a reputable dealer.

I recommend low dollar orders to begin with, to make sure your grading standards are compatible and to get more comfortable. A fair number of the forum members are not very comfortable with ebay either, and don't make purchases via auction.
