I recently purchased this coin from eBay because I wanted to add an older coin to my collection. Can anyone tell me if it's real and what it's worth, I paid $5 for it.

It looks like a Christina silver solidus. I think it's real because it's a common coin, and worth $5-10.

My favorite coins from that period are the Bohemian Pragergroschens. Thin and kind of tinny, about the size of a quarter. They have a great lion on them and every one of them is different.

Thank you! I wasn't expecting them to be so thin and small. This one is a little smaller than a dime. What's cool to me is that it was shipped from Riga, Latvia, making it the first time it's been out of the country.. If only every coin came with a personal story
