Hello All

What has happened to these two coins ? Rust and extreme cleaning ?

The 1849 is ( I assume ) encrusted in rust / corrosion. What or can I do about this ?

The 1852 appears to have been cleaned...... Has it ?
Plus there is some sort of metal color on the front and one small dot on the back.
What do you think this is?

Both coins weight correctly and are of the proper diameter.
What value might these coins have ....if any ?

Thanks,
htx

Corrosion on the 49 - can't do anything about it. The other I have no idea what that little silver dot is, the rest may be enviromental toning or some kind of stain. Acetone soak may help that.
You should always collect within your income, even if you have to borrow to do so.

Severe environmental damage on the '49, less ED but still crippling on the '52.

Both of these are common dates. Both have suffered from environmental damage. Neither would sell above $10, and would probably sell for less.
