The first is a 1911-D

The the 2nd coin is a 1912.

I'm very new to this so please let me know if something is wrong with the pictures. The 1911 I am looking into buying and the 2nd is one from my collection.

The first coin looks to be an AU 55, the second (based on poor photos) looks to be VG.

1911D is XF40 Cleaned, 1912 is G6 at best, the reverse is either damaged or is a poor strike, no feathering at all seen and obverse has heavy wear.

Is this posted elsewhere? Could've sworn I noted that the 11-D is a low EF and the '12 is an AG or a G at best. Deja vu?

Thanks for the replies and yes sorry it is in the other forum. I didn't realize there was a spot for grading alone. My apologies, being the new guy stinks!

Being new is great, you learn from the old farts. Keep 'em coming.

I don't know if you've been to PCGS's Photo Grade site yet but it's a good resource for a beginner who is just learning to grade their coins.

https://www.PCGS.com/photograde/#//

Study the photos closely and try to compare them to your particular coin. Of course if your coin has been cleaned or damaged in any way you'll have to take that into consideration.

Best of luck
