Is this a head of 1793. I know it is a head of 1794, but I would like someone to back me up on that! Lol.

It is for sale right now on eBay as a head of 93 and before I message him I want to have another opinion.

My name is Devin, and I have been collecting now for around 3 1/2 years. I love all US coinage. I set up at coin shows and sell on eBay with my dad

Yes, it looks like 1794 with head of 1793.

Based on the PCGS pictures it looks to me like the head of 1794. The hair is filled in too much directly below the cap for a head of 1793.

It's a head of 94. Easiest way to identify a 1794 with head of 93, if you can see LIBERTY, is to look at the position of the junction of the hair and forehead. On the head of 93 the junction is centered between the T and Y. None of the heads of 94 or head of 95 come that far right. On this coin the junction appears to be just about below the upright of the T. Possibly below the left edge of the upright.

Thanks for the explanation Condor101. I see it now.

I was going by the eye/nose/mouth shapes but obviously incorrect.
