I picked up a mixed lot of junk silver that includes a 1959 50 Ore. Yet to receive. I am finding that this coin was not minted that year and am confused.

I'm not an expert, but NO according to the site below.

Also, not listed in NGC site.

Looks like a counterfeit.

1959 is not listed in my copy of Krause.

Believe it or not, that's a 1952 piece. 1959 does not exist. The lower bar of the two is has some dark grime on it, but it is there. Look closer and you'll see it. I didn't at first . Otherwise, the last '9' does not look like the first which wouldn't be right.

The coin is 100% authentic, they look a bit crude and smooth.

Compare the date digits with this piece I found online:
