2016 French silver 10 Euros from that year's series commemorating Saint-Exupéry's "Petit Prince" This coin shows the Little Prince in Lyon, with Place Bellecour and the Basilica of Fourvière in the background:

A scan from a photo I took in Place Bellecour while studying French in Lyon, with the Basilica of Fourvière on the hill behind:

Does not directly depict a place, but it mentions it by name and by symbolism.

The reverse of the 1937 Battle of Antietam US commemorative half dollar depicts a place - what came to be known as the Burnside Bridge (after Major General Ambrose Burnside who commanded the IX Corps during the battle at the bridge). The bridge was the site of just one phase of the overall deadly Antietam/Sharpsburg battle that ultimately had nearly 23,000 casualties and left over 3,600 dead.

Burnside Bridge today.

Here's the gold and platinum bimetallic $10 struck to commemorate the bicentennial of the Library of Congress in Washington DC. The coin highlights the dome of its Thomas Jefferson Building.

Here's a gold $2.50 (Quarter Eagle) from the classic series of US commemorative coins - it was struck to celebrate the 150th anniversary of American Independence and features Independence Hall in Philadelphia. Of course, Independence Hall is where the Declaration of Independence was signed.
