I was rerolling and returning to chase. The branch manager saw me coming in the door and met me halfway to the tellers and told me they will not take them from me anymore and to go somewhere else...so I tried my credit union next. They don't take rolled coins but they have one branch in my area with a coin counter machine they sent me to. I've been dumping at my credit union ever since.
Turns out after talking with them that one branch services all the other branches coin needs locally so they don't have to order coins. It's free to use and they will take whatever they can get so it's no problem at all. The one rule is no half dollars and no dollar coins which is OK with me since my get banks won't order half dollars or dollar coins for me either.
So I don't have to wrap anymore but I was always doing it before this situation occurred with chase. Pretty much all chase branches are fine, it's just the one close to my house that has always been rude and unhelpful and couldnt care if they work or don't on any given day.
I wasn't dumping a lot either maybe $100-$150 in coins a pop and spreading it out. Meh. It is what it is.
If chase didn't get me my boxes I'd probably close my accounts with them but the other branches have been really cool.
Just that one hates me, and probably every other customer that walks through the door.
