Hello again! Looking through coins & comparing them against the cherry pickers guide (gotta start somewhere right?) I found this 1939 Lincoln cent. It looks to my untrained eye that there may be doubling on the O. But I don't see it anywhere else. The variety listed in the guide doesn't mention this in particular. Any opinions are appreciated! I tried to get pics but its difficult.

Just Post Strike Damage ( PSD) unfortunately. The O took a hit, causing the metal to get pushed over and flattened.

While there is damage on the coin, there is one 1939 DDO that looks like that with thicker bits on the lower parts of the lettering. Before you put this one back in the bag take a look at:

http://varietyvista.com/01a%20LC%20...9PDDO005.htm

The easiest place to see this DDO is the bendy letters of IBE in LIBERTY. Worth a look.

Updated***I will post more pics of the penny shortly. On another note, I'm almost positive I found a 1976 proof type dime in with my husbands loose change. If so, it's my first find & pretty exciting! :)
