80Goat New Member United States 12 Posts	Posted 03/15/2019 08:56 am Greeting from Virginia Beach, Virginia. I started collecting coins in the late 1960s. My grandmother bought me an album for pennies and nickels and got me hooked. I recently pulled out my collection and noticed that I stopped collecting in 1979. Time to fill in the holes for the last 40 years. At the time, I collected current coins in circulation plus V-nickels, Franklin halves, and Morgan dollars. I got my wife interested and we are working on a type set of US coins as well as picking up the coins to fill in the last 40 years. I have been browsing the forum for the last week and am surprised at some of the problems such as counterfeit coins from China. Now that I have extra spending money and looking to upgrade the coins in my set, I am concerned that I may not be getting "real" coins. At least I know that the Morgan dollars I received from my grandparents should be real. Report this Post to the Staff
