Hey all
I'm looking to upgrade my extremely cheap USB microscope and have seen some reviews of Andonstar scopes (Specifically the Andonstar ADSM201, ADSM301 & ADSM302) and while the reviews and quality looks great for circuit boards.... I'm wondering whether anyone has any experience at examining coins under them ?

These are some stills from the 201 & 302 scopes courtesy of Proto G Engineering on Youtube.

The 302 quality looks pretty good. I like that the use external LED lighting. Whether a USB scope works well for coins depends on how much adjustability it has for things like white balance, exposure, etc. Most of them have zero adjustability, so you end up doing all the work in post processing in order to get anything decent from them. I'd suggest looking into the software first before buying, especially if it's expensive.
