I bought a coin that says it was maid in 1971, and by the US postal service, but I cant find out anything about it, can anyone give me some info

this is not a coin because a coin would have to have a denomination on it, this is some kind of token/medal so I will move it to the medal/token section where it may get a correct response

Without seeing a picture I cannot say for sure but what you probably have is a sterling silver proof commemorating the inauguration of the postal service. I have it as part of a set the token and to canceled stamps one from washingto and one from philadelphia.
