You've made the right decision . I don't like it for an MS-66 . Dull no mint luster , obverse nick , not the best looking reverse .
Wait ; there are plenty of 50-D Jefferson's out there for the grabbing .

Thank you guys for the input!

Still working on my grading skills, I feel that I am improving. lol Even though I mistook the obv nick for a scratch on the slab the first time around. lol

Def plenty of 50-d's about.
Have a great day!

Grade aside, I find the toning appealing.

Since it's a 5FS that indicates to me the pressure during striking wasn't high enough.
That would account for the 5FS.
AND that would account for the high points on the obverse not being fully struck.
That would mean that any marks on the raw planchet that ended up on the areas that became high points (cheek) would not be eliminated.

Just a possibility.
Describe it as if there were no picture.
Picture it as if there were no description.

Several factors determine grade, not just wear. If this goes for cheap, it might be a nice pickup. Me personally, I wouldn't. The Obv looks a little blown out, as in probably the die is just entering late stage and is getting blown out.
