You make a solid suggestion- RCM
should be appealing to new younger artist for designs - gotta shake it up.
I know, right? I mean just by looking at the intricacy of the design most people would know it would not work well on a coin. Maybe CNC on wood or metal with differing color back rounds to separate the clouds so you know what your actually looking at.
My question is now, does the mint actually go through somewhat of a internal tribunal proposal process to offer designs before approval?
If they do, and this is what was selected, I fear for the future of large canvas coins.
If they don't, then who approves the design at the mint before manufacturing? I believe someone isn't speaking up at the approval process because the design flaws for this coin is just too obvious to me, the potential buyer.
Maybe they just take what they get offered for an image. Which would be a real disappointment.
