I am looking to sell this coin. I know there are very few collectors that collect Overton coins on a serious level. This coin is near an R7 as there are only 18-20 of these coins known in existence. One of the most rare in the half dollar drape series. My question, how should I sell this coin? Also what is the true value? My coin is graded by NGC and has the CAC designation. From review of PCGS the coin has value of $8,000.00. I would like your input, on value and how to sell this coin given its rarity and small group of collectors. Appreciate your input.

Looks like it went for $2,000 on eBay,was that you?
You can try eBay and have a minimum bid of say $3,000 or use an auction house like Heritage. PCGS is most likely high because the TPG's most of the time mark up their own slabs, and besides yours is in NGC slab.

Yes the eBay purchase was me. I did some research and did locate and article from 2013 with the act coin down to NGC cert number. Appears my coin is first ever graded by NGC. States the coin belonged to lifelong collector who completed the full Overton set for half dollars. Given the small amount of collectors, would Heritage or stacks be best option for this coin? Appears from limited auction records they go from $5,000 to over $10,000.
