so I came across this pretty shiny Jefferson nickel and upon researching, it could be a reverse of 1940 so I am crossing my fingers that it is the double die reverse. As always thank you for looking.

Really nice looking coin and some great photos but I don't think it's a Doubled one.

It does look like a 1939 Reverse of 1940, but it's not the DDR. There may be some slight MD, but that's it.

MD is Mechanical Doubling? On the front there is a hole in his head-how does that sorta thing happen?
