NGC - An 1893-S Morgan silver dollar is being offered in the February Long Beach auction.

Many excellent examples of classic vintage American coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) are being offered in the Long Beach Expo US coins Signature Auction. Presented by Heritage Auctions, the sale takes place February 20-23, 2020.

One particularly exciting coin is an 1893-S Morgan dollar graded NGC MS 62. Part of a series-low circulation strike mintage of 100,000 coins, the 1893-S is the most challenging of all Morgan dollars to acquire in Mint State condition. Most of the Uncirculated examples come from a single hoard of about two dozen Uncirculated 1893-S Morgans that were surprisingly found mixed in with a bag of newly minted 1894-S dollars.

Other NGC Certified Highlights Include

1831 Large Letters Capped Bust quarter graded NGC PF 65 Cameo - one of only 12 known examples
1795 Small Eagle $5 graded NGC AU 58 - one of only 40 to 50 examples known in all grades of the BD-1 die variety
1916 Standing Liberty quarter graded NGC MS 65 FH - the rarest date of the series as only 52,000 Standing Liberty quarters were struck with the 1916 date
1851 887 Reeded Humbert $50 graded NGC AU 50 - a high-value piece produced to serve the burgeoning economy of the Gold Rush era
1861 Cent graded NGC MS 68 - an excellent example of the key date of copper-nickel Oak Wreath Cents
1907 Saint-Gaudens High Relief $20 graded NGC MS 66 - a high-grade example of the famed Saint-Gaudens' Double Eagle
1918/7-D Buffalo nickel graded NGC MS 62 - a popular overdate variety of which Mint State examples are very rare
1795 Flowing Hair Dollar graded NGC MS 62 - an example of the Three Leaves variety BB-18 (B-7) reverse that is paired with a Head of 1794 obverse
1652 "NE" Monogram Pine Tree 1 Shilling graded NGC MS 63 - tied for second-finest of the Hain Collection coins
1889-CC Morgan dollar graded NGC MS 63 PL - an attractive example of the most elusive Morgan dollar form the Carson City Mint
1796 Quarter graded NGC G 4 - a one-year coin type sought after by collectors since the beginning of American numismatics
1903 Barber quarter graded NGC PF 68 Cameo - one of few post-1902 Proof coins with Cameo contrast.
