Hi! I have several coins that are not from any of the major coin authentication companies. I am having trouble figuring out if the coins are legitimate or if they were a "hobby" and someone just put them in fancy cases. Can anyone take a look and weigh in?

It appears someone just put a favorite coin in a plastic holder.

That is a generic shell. Many of the fly-by-night and basement slabbers use them, and collectors also use them to protect coins that they want "slabbed" but which aren't worth sending to a TPG.
