Is this 1973 d Dime an error, environmental damage or both?
the raised area in front of Lincolns face, making me question.

That's not Lincoln , Its Roosevelt and it looks like a parking lot coin. PMD

To CCF , It's called a Cent not a penny but we'll let it go this time . Your Dime is just damaged from rough circulation ( Road Kill ).
