Some bronze (as opposed to brass), coins tone yellow,
entirely due to prevailing environmental conditions.

Yes it is brass, ALL cents from 1963 to mid 1982 are made of brass, 95% Cu 5% zinc is a brass not bronze.

My knowledge as it has turned out, has also come up a little short, re U.S. Cents 1963-82.
