I was wondering why my 1935 silver certificate has two dates. One in the top left and the other in the bottom right. All of the others that I have seen only have one date (towards the middle). Any help would be much appreciated.

All notes of this era, regardless of type, have the series date printed twice on the face of the note.

Please review your notes and advise.

Interesting.
I've got a full type set of small-sized $1 silver certificates and never noted that.

{Short Pause}

A quick look at my reference seems to show that double dated notes ONLY occurred in the $1 1935 series.
The $1 1935A series and those following did not have the double date.
But I need to do a bit more research to make sure of that.
But not tonight.
Describe it as if there were no picture.
Picture it as if there were no description.

My (partial) mistake, sorry. You're right, kanga, the double-date process on small silver certificates appears on all 1928 series and the 1935-Plain series only. For FRNs, it stopped with the 1934 series regardless of the letter designation. All LT red seals have double dates for the 1928 series (all letters) even though they were printed into the early 1950s. Gold certificates and FRBNs with series 1928 and 1929 bear double dates as well.
