To CCF , I sure hope it didn't leave the mint like that ! Just a lot of damage during it's 110 year life .

Dent is all the way through coin (you can see dome on backside). Post mint damage. If it happened in the press, back side would still be flat because it was pushing on the die.

Someone was a good shot.
