Hello everyone. We had a visit from another troll last night. He signed up under two different ID's - mike01 and adoujey. The members ID's were locked last night as soon as the emails started to arrive and blocked by IP address this morning as soon as Bobby and I were made aware.
As always, please don't respond to this jerk as then he will have your email address and will be able to continue to spam you. Hopefully, we have seen the last of him here.
Please accept our apologies.

I get so much spam as it is that nothing originating here really makes a difference. It's to your great credit that you're working so hard to keep it out, and being so honest about when it happens. That gives us the information we need to block the offender from our own end. Thank you.

Thanks to the Internet, I now know most members of the royal families of Nigeria and the Ivory Coast.

I received the email and honestly thought it was a joke . I deleted it and thought maybe someone would mention it on the forum. Thanks, Susan. Rick

Dog gone it Susan, I haven't been offered 3.5 million dollars for a long time, and now you've gone and spoiled the whole thing.
That is all right, I got to laughing so hard I couldn't have spent any of it anyway. So thanks a lot for the actions you have taken.

I was one who received the Nigerian scam/spam emails from "mike01". I like to entice these guys into sending me photographs of themselves and I have quite a rogues gallery. I wrote him back and received another email with a photograph. Here is a link with his two emails and his photographs. http://home.earthlink.net/~brianrxm.../niger29.htm

Why, I think Mike looks like such a nice young man; his passport seems to be in order and everything; are you SURE this is a scam?

I got it too. I have enjoyed the long line of "Nigerian Scam Letters" (actually, this one is from Ivory Coast) that have appeared over the years; some of them are quite funny. Most spam is just boring; at least these things show some creativity.
I have also seen letters from Russia along the same lines - the Nigerians aren't the only ones doing this anymore.

I also got the same email. As seen as I saw the reference to the Ivory Coast,I could tell that it was spam.I don't buy into these fraudsters' tricks. There are plenty of suckers that do get taken in however.Of course,I am not one of those!

When I got the email and saw the id "mike01" trying to entrust me with 3.5 million dollars I thought it was our Mike just messing with us. You know how clever he is with his alien avatars. Rick

I have been getting these things for years. At first I wrote back "funny" little answers, however I was told that was the wrong thing to do in that it will trigger more e-mails. And, it has.
It's really too bad these guys can't be nailed, but I've heard they originate their message from foreign countries, and are tough to catch.
Anyway, thanks for getting rid of this one as far as our forum is concerned.
