Thanks CH27! And thanks for sharing the pickup point with the ES of states a while back. Very helpful for low grade examples.

With "United" almost completely gone, I'd say G-04 at best.

You're probably right. I have a hard time grading still, but I'm getting better.

Please explain further why you think this is S1. Die markers, etc. Thanks!

I believe it to be S-1 because of the nose and eye doubling as well as the ES of states. It matches all points of doubling on a higher grade example of this variety. Although my coin is too worn to see the die gouge on the reverse, this is no doubt S-1. No normal coin would have the amount of strong doubling this die has. Coinfrog, QH is correct in saying this is a snow-1. The nose doubling and the ES of states both match up and the eye doubling is still somewhat visible.

i would think it might make G-4 sharpness. Without seeing the doubling in the LIBERTY how much can the coin go for?
