Hi guys, have a questions about potentially grading and understanding if this has any value.

I have a blue pack, uncirculated 1972 ike silver dollar with the type 2 strike (florida as funnel).

I've read these are pretty rare but haven't seen any of the bkuepacks with the type 2.

Is this something of any value, or just the traditional ike value.

to the Community!

Variety 2 (aka Type 2) only applies to the Cu-Ni clad strikes from Philadelphia. All 1972-S 40% silver strikes have this type of reverse. The V2 Philly coins were struck with these reverse dies in error.

No problem.

And to be sure, it is clad, just not Cu-Ni clad.

The 40% silver Ikes are 60% copper...

Cladding: 80% Silver, 20% Copper
Core: 79% Copper, 21% Silver
