I realize that these are only educated guesses but I was hoping some of you could help me for insurance purposes. I have a complete BU collection of Jeffersons from 1938 to 2021 , they are raw coins but all are extremely nice MS64 or better for 98 % of them (38 thru 1943 are probably better) this includes all proofs from 1950 to 2021, type 1 and type 2 for 79-81 and all colorized 2004-2006. I have to declare a value for insurance purposes and have no clue as to the value? I also have every Roosevelt the same way proofs from 1950 -2021 including silver proofs and all coins are raw but all NS-64 or better. can some of you shoot me an estimated price in your best opinion. This is only for in case my house burns down or something catastrophic. I have zero intention of parting with them.

You might want to check eBay sold values for a current idea on values. Find something close to what you have. Does your insurance company need a written estimate? Do you need to take photos of your collection for insurance purposes?

Referring to what John1 mentioned, from my past experiences most insurance companies require a formal written appraisal for things like coins, jewelry, artwork, etc. for coverage amounts. Many dealers will provide you that for a fee.

Sorry guys trying to remember my High school English class and thought if I put quote in quotation marks that meant I was quoting someone.. I just highlight with mouse then copy and paste. I never retype all of that. I am way to slow at typing.

Well, you are in a literary sense, but on a forum post it is easier to read in a box.
