Picked this up a while ago knowing it was highly likely that it's a vise job. It was listed as a double struck, and I decided to take a chance on it considering it wasn't a lot of money. Figured I'd share my experience with this coin on the forum. Dimes are out of my area of expertise, so I probably should've just let this one be. Reeded edge is uninterrupted and looks good, but the "double strike" is incuse which is enough evidence for me to call it damage. I guess I learned my lesson, should've gone with my gut.

Considering that the oak leaves are pressed into the olive leaf, I would say that it is a subtle vise job.

I personally believe this is a vise job, I just don't see how it could be a legitimate mint error.
