The Perth Mint has released the first of its planned 2022 Wedge-Tailed Eagle coins: the 1 oz. silver bullion coin, the 1 oz. high-relief silver coin and the 1 oz. high-relief gold coin. A five-ounce high-relief silver coin is due later this month (March 2022) with other silver, gold, and/or platinum versions expected later in the year.

This year's reverse design presents a close-up view of the head of a left-facing wedge-tailed eagle - its prominent hooked beak is on display! It is once again the work of the former Chief Engraver of the US Mint - John Mercanti. The 2022 design is his seventh for the ongoing series.

Just saw this and you beat me to the post. There is one, an NGC FDOI PF70 UHR listed on ebay and it looks stunning. I'll wait until the price settles to where it should be, way over priced.
